WW: All Around the World

I’ve done a fair amount of traveling, and I’ve seen a lot of door problems worldwide.  Tim Weller of Allegion sent me today’s Wordless Wednesday photos from a recent stop in Amsterdam.  The curtains concealing the egress door are definitely a problem, and I’m curious about why the sign is in English.

Have you taken any good door-photos in your travels?  Send them along!

  • Those curtains look suspiciously like curtains used for a Booth Display at a vendor booth. Like in all venues, they want the money from one more booth squeezed in….even if they have to block the exit!!

The phrase “may be armed” is nothing more than an invitation to check if it is or not. Test incoming! Prepare for noise, or not.

I have some photos to share. Where do I send those?

English is a common language spoken there.

Plus, unlike some of America, children normally learn two languages growing up in Europe.

I loved Amsterdam in the 70’s, and had no problem communicating
