Just yesterday I was talking with a class about prepping existing frames for electric strikes. I’m not an installer, but something seems off here. What do you think?

A little drywall mud will fix that.

That looks about right for that model of el. Strike on a wood frame. Casing will cover it. I never like this strike not even on a steel frame. Since you have to eat put the stud for solenoid.
